If you were to search the web for penny auctions you would undoubtedly come across a plethora of penny auction websites. While this is great, its important to be able to decipher between what is a good site and what is not. The goal of this article is to equip you with the ability to sift through the noise so that you only end up making an account on the best penny auction sites around.

The first thing that you need to do when evaluating new penny auction websites is to navigate throughout the website and ask yourself “How does this feel?”. When you browse to Facebook, Youtube, Google etc. you feel comfortable the same is true for purchasing sites such as eBay and the like. So ask yourself whether or not you truly believe that you can see yourself visiting this website everyday, and whether or not it feels safe and secure enough to be privileged to your credit card, address and other sensitive information.

Once you have done the eye test you really need to jump into the belly of the beast, this translates to signing up and getting in on the action. Most sites have very little (if any at all) minimums in regards to what you need to open your account with. With that in mind sign up, deposit $10 and give it a whirl. Odds are you will know after the first auction if the site is right for you, and if its not, no big deal simply move on to the next one. Be advised however that scrapping a site because you could not win an auction is not the proper way to go about it. Rather you need to ensure that you are using a proper penny auction strategy before ultimately deciding whether or not a site deserves your business.

Beyond all of this the most important thing is the way in which you are treated (customer service) and the speed of which your winning items arrive at your door step. The best thing to do here is contact customer service with a question (a fake one if you don’t have a legit question) and see how they respond. If they are emailing or calling you back within 24 hours then you can be pretty comfortable with using them for all of your penny auction needs.

As for the speed of the delivery on your winning items, that will vary but most sites are more than happy to get you your winnings sooner rather than later. These new penny auction websites could not exist without their user base, so it behooves them to treat you as a #1 priority all the time.

Two sites that have been recommended in the past are Bid Rivals as well as Bigger Bidder so perhaps you should start your journey with them.
